# Uninstall ReverseSignal

This article explains how to uninstall ReverseSignal Returns from your Shopify admin, and what happens afterwards.

## Uninstall from your Shopify admin

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps.
2. Next to ReverseSignal Returns, click ⋯, then click Uninstall.
3. Optionally, choose a reason for uninstalling.
4. Click Uninstall.

## What happens right away

The moment you uninstall, ReverseSignal stops working in your Shopify admin: you can no longer open it there, and it loses access to your store.

## What happens to your data

About 2 days after you uninstall, we delete your shoppers' personal details, your branding and your returns portal address, though your past return records stay on file without those personal details.

None of this is deleted if you reinstall before then, or if ReverseSignal is still installed on another of your stores.

## Remove your portal address's DNS record

If you pointed a portal address such as `returns.yourstore.com` to ReverseSignal, remove that DNS record at the company that manages your domain, so the address no longer leads anywhere.
